Duties of an Automotive Sales Consultant

  1. Complete knowledge about the vehicles features, specifications must able to produce the catalog when the customer asked for it.
  2. You have to be aware of all the new vehicle inclusions and also complete knowledge about the models available in the inventory. Sales consultant must have to explain the customers with benefits sometimes compare two models and help them derive the best choice.
  3. Ability to understand the client requirements and provide solutions based on their requirement as you need to explain about the features of certain vehicles that suits customer needs.
  4. Effectively communicate the quotes through proper communication channels such as emails.
  5. Follow up with the customers who have visited the showroom, or those whom the consultant had gone to visit personally in their home.
  6. Helping them in doing the Test drive of the vehicles and help them understand the benefits and features of that particular vehicle.
  7. Ability to create sales through giving quality information that matches the needs of the customers.
  8. Must be knowledgeable in knowing all the dealership sales process.
  9. Ability to immediately communicate about the availability of the models, He or she must be good at current inventory stats and the availability of the vehicle. Ability to manage, update
  10. Proficiency in using CRM software is a plus
  11. Prepare weekly and monthly reports about the sales, customers and report it to the manager.
